Survey | Compose: Basic Inputs

Once you set your app up, it is time to compose your survey.  Most of your time will be spent between here, the compose page , and viewing your progress via your live survey link that you create on the mobilize page.

TIP:   Before proceeding to the next step we highly recommend that you "mobilize" your app.  This essentially "turns it on" which will allow you to test as you create your survey. We recommend testing after each change is made so if you make a mistake, it is easy to go back and catch it.

Step 1: Start by creating a new interaction.   For our survey we will choose New Mobile

Give your interaction a name that makes sense to you.

Step 2: Click New Page to add a new page to your survey.  This is where you will add your questions.

TIP:  Choosing to view your survey in "desktop" mode (versus phone or tablet) will be the best option while creating your survey and checking your progress.

Step 3:  Add some inputs.  Click on the yellow +  button and you will see two sets of options. Elements above the INPUT line can be used to display text, photos, etc... and the ones below the INPUT line allow your end users to enter information that can be saved and used for analysis.

Select the type of element from the options below the INPUT section. 

The most typical inputs for surveys are:

• Text Input

         Text input is generally used for typical questions like name, 

• Pick from Lists

         A pick from list allows the end user to choose from a list of items.
