Getting Started
After setting up your Chorus account and logging in, you can begin creating your first app. Let's get started!
Creating your first app
To begin creating your first app, select the orange"Click to add" button within the "My Apps" section of the Chorus home page.
This will open the Getting Started page where you can name your app and provide a brief description. This information, which can be updated at any point, will help you easily identify your app and select it when you are working with multiple apps.
You can also add an icon to your app by hovering over the icon square at the top of the page.
Tip: notice that at the left side of your page is a vertical menu bar. As you work in Chorus use this menu to navigate through the different editing stages. As you navigate, the icon of your current page will remain filled blue.
Build Your App with Others
Share your app with other Chorus users to enable them to edit your app and access app data. Note: this is different from the people that use the app you create. View our Managing clients and groups page to learn more.
To share your app with other users, click on the the orange "Click to add" box under "Create your apps with friends" and enter the email address of the users you'd like to share your app with. (The users you share your app with must already be registered as Chorus users).
Click "Validate email" then select what permissions you want to provide this person. There are three predefined roles:
- Co-author: This person will have access to ALL of your app including your data and can make any change to your app
- Read only: Access to only view your app, including your data, but cannot make changes
- Editor: More limited access to only key sections
Click the pencil icon to change or review permissions. To stop sharing an app with someone, click the 'X' button in the top right corner of their card:
After clicking the pencil icon, you can update read or write permissions to each section:
Composing your app
Once you've set up the basics, it's time to start building! Click "Continue to creator" to get started.
